CRGX 657 - A End

CRGX 657 - A EndThis model of CRGX 657 started with an Overland Models #3481 GATC 8000 Gal. Riveted Tank Car. Richard Hendrickson supplied the prototype information which lead to changing the brakes from K to AB with a Cal Scale brass brake set resistance soldered using variations on typical AB brake retrofits. The lettering is a free font called Boston Traffic which was close enough for the lettering to be created with Coreldraw and printed on an Alps. The car was modeled after prototype waybills showed these cars delivered to Owens-Illinois Glass in Streator hauling fuel oil.
